Growth of scar tissue on the surface of the retina leading to distorted and blurred vision

Clouding of the natural lens of the eye leading to loss of vision. Complex cataracts are those at higher risk of complications

Moving shadows in the field of vision which follow the eye. ​

Macular hole

Tiny hole on the centre of the retina causing distortion and loss of central vision

Retinal detachment

Separation of the light-sensitive layer of the eye causing loss of field of vision and leading to permanent loss of vision

Diabetic eye disease and vitreous bleeding

Bleed in the cavity of the eye leading to vision loss. Usually due to diabetes or breaks in the retina, but also to injuries or blood vessel abnormalities.
